Last updated October 17, 2026. This policy covers northernplainsschuetzenfest.com and the NPS Schuetzenfest iPhone/iPad app. Both are run by Northern Plains Schuetzenfest, Billings, Montana, a volunteer club.
Account. Your email address and a password (handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see the password) and the name you give us. Needed to sign in, register for matches, and show your name on results.
Member profile. If you join as a member: your NPS member number, and optionally phone, mailing address, and the rifles you register (make, class, a photo if you add one). Used to run matches and pre-fill your registrations. Members can see only their own profile; club staff can see members of their club.
Match data. Registrations, class, bracket estimates, side bets, scores, payouts, and photographs of fired targets taken by the range officer for score verification. Scores and standings are public on the website by shooter name and club, as they would be on a range bulletin board. Target photos are viewable on the results pages.
Marketplace. If you post a listing: the listing text, photos, price, and the contact details you choose to include. Listings are reviewed by an admin before they are shown to members.
Club affiliation. Which club you belong to and any pending club requests, so managers can approve shooters.
No advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no sale or sharing of data with third parties, no location tracking. The app uses the camera and photo library only when you choose to attach a rifle or target photo. We do not collect data from children; the app and site are intended for adults.
All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, Authentication) in the United States, protected by access rules that limit each person to their own records and club staff to their club. Email we send (member welcome, match notices) goes through Google's mail service.
You can edit your profile and rifles at any time on the site. To delete your account and the data tied to it, email us at the address below and we will remove it within 14 days; match results already published under your name remain part of the club record, as scores do on paper. You can withdraw a marketplace listing yourself from the Marketplace page.
